Rust-Oleum® Specialty Camouflage Sprays are formulated to give hunting and sporting gear a dull, non-reflective finish. Multiple colours can be layered to create custom patterns that blend into different environments. Ideal for vehicles, blinds, decoys, boats, tree stands, and equipment. Not recommended for galvanized metal.
Use outdoors or in a well-ventilated space. Apply when temperatures are between 10–32°C and humidity is under 65% for proper drying. Avoid spraying in windy or dusty areas, and protect nearby surfaces from overspray.
ALL SURFACES: Remove dirt, grease, salt, and contaminants using a suitable cleaner. Treat mold or mildew with a bleach or chlorinated solution, rinse thoroughly, and let dry.
STEEL: Remove loose rust, scale, and peeling paint by scraping or wire brushing. Apply primer to clean or lightly rusted metal before topcoating.
PREVIOUSLY PAINTED SURFACES: Ensure the existing coating is intact. Sand smooth or glossy surfaces to create proper adhesion.
Shake the can vigorously for one minute after the mixing ball begins to move. Do not strike the can if the ball does not rattle. Shake frequently during use. Hold the can 12–16" from the surface and spray with steady, overlapping strokes, keeping the can in continuous motion.
Apply a base colour first. Then place leaves or twigs randomly onto the surface before spraying additional colours over them to create a camo pattern using three or more shades.
Based on 21°C (70°F) and 50% humidity:
Touch dry in 20 minutes
Handle in 1 hour
Recoat within 1 hour or after 24 hours
Fully cured in 24 hours
On plastic surfaces, maximum adhesion develops within 5–7 days.
Wipe the nozzle after use. Clean wet paint with xylene or mineral spirits.
